1.關係代名詞
會考歷屆
You can find some very nice ones that also have breakfast.
(你可以找到一些有附早餐的不錯飯店。)
→ 這個句子裡的that also have breakfast是形容詞子句，用來修飾ones，表示這些不錯的飯店，是有附早餐的。that是關代。
2.現在完成式：has/have +過去分詞

Aunt Gina has lived in this town for more than sixty years.
(吉娜阿姨已經住在這個城鎮超過六十年了。)
→ 「has lived (已經住)」是現在完成式，也就是「has/have+過去分詞」，表示從過去到現在的一段時間，並且可能還會繼續下去。
3.名詞子句

I’m sure you can get some ideas there.
(我確定你能在那裡得到一些想法。)
→原句為I’m sure (that) you can get some ideas there.，連接詞that可省略。
4.被動語態：be動詞+過去分詞
會考歷屆
The police haven’t found the little girl who was taken away at a supermarket.
(警方還沒有找到在超市被帶走的小女孩。)
→ 「was taken away(被帶走)」，使用被動語態「be動詞+過去分詞」，表示小女孩是「被(別人)帶走」，至於是誰帶走她，句子裡面沒有說出來。
5.in order to為了
會考歷屆
To know why things are different in this African country, we need to go back one hundred years.
(為了知道為什麼這個非洲國家的情況不同，我們需要回到一百年前。)
→句子開頭使用in order to(為了)，表示「目的」，這個目的就是：為了知道為什麼這個非洲國家的情況不同。
in order to這個英文句型，經常省略in order，只保留to。原句為(In order) to know why things…
6.祈使句：原形動詞開頭

Cut out the picture of the tea cup on a bottle of Tea-Rock tea, collect two of the pictures, and paste them on a postcard.
(剪下岩石茶飲的茶杯圖案，收集兩張圖片，把它們貼到明信片上。)
→ 這個句子，總共使用三個祈使句，分別是：
第一句 Cut out the picture of the tea cup on a bottle of Tea-Rock tea.
第二句 Collect two of the pictures.
第三句 Paste them on a postcard.
祈使句，使用原形動詞開頭，以上句子的原形動詞，分別是cut out(剪下來)、collect(收集)、paste(黏貼)。
7.take/spend/cost花費
會考歷屆
It doesn’t take much time or space.
(它不會花很多時間，或空間。)
→ take意思有很多，在這裡是「花費」的意思，不花很多時間(time)或空間(space)。
8.too…to…句型
會考歷屆
But for people who enjoy exercising but are too busy to go to the gym, Tabata training might just be the answer.
(但是對於喜愛運動，又忙到沒時間去健身房的人來說，Tabata訓練可能是解答。)
→ 先把形容詞子句，括號起來，也就是who enjoy exercising but are too busy to go to the gym(喜愛運動，又忙到沒時間去健身房)。
這個too busy to go to the gym (太忙沒空去健身房)，使用too…to…(太…而不能…)，句型本身已包含「否定」，因此不用再加入not。
9.動名詞
會考歷屆
Working long hours has become a way to show that people are hard-working.
(長工時已經成為人們努力工作的一種表現方式。)
→這裡的working是動名詞(V-ing)，「working long hours(長時間工作)」，動名詞當主詞來用，動詞是「has become(已經變成)」。
10.比較級/最高級
會考歷屆
Bob is the laziest of the boys in the family.
(鮑伯是家裡最懶惰的男孩。)
→ 「the laziest (最懶惰的」，是形容詞最高級，用來表示Bob是家裡最懶的那一個男孩。lazy(懶惰的)。
