「there」、「their」和「they’re」，拼字和意義皆不同。

1. there 那裡

there是副詞，它表示位置。

例句1

We want to go there.

(我們想去那裡。)

there也可以和be動詞搭配，形成一個句型：「There is/are(有)」。

例句2

There is a book on the table.

(桌上有一本書。)

單數，使用「there is(有)」。

例句3

There are four books on the table.

(桌上有四本書。)

複數，使用「there are(有)」。

2. their 他們的

their是所有格，表示某物品，屬於他們。

例句4

They usually wash their hands before they eat breakfast.

(吃早餐之前，他們通常洗手。)

their hands 他們的手

例句5

In the meeting, they express their opinion.

(在會議中，他們表達他們的意見。)

their opinion 他們的意見

3. they’re 他們是

they’re，是they are縮寫。

例句6

They’re excited about the trip.

(他們對於這趟旅行，感到興奮。)

excited (adj.) 感到興奮的

例句7

They’re from different countries.

(他們來自不同的國家。)

different (adj.) 不同的
